A Weekend in Pringle Bay – Fellowship, Faith and Fun

by Bernhard Schiele

From February 28 to March 2, 2025, the Stellenbosch Fellowship Camp brought us together for a memorable weekend in Pringle Bay—filled with faith, friendship, and the beauty of God’s creation.

After navigating the Friday afternoon traffic, we arrived just in time to enjoy a wonderful dinner. The evening kicked off with Babsi Meylahn leading us in a lively icebreaker, followed by a short devotional. Some of us, exhausted from the week, turned in early, while others took a peaceful nighttime stroll along the beach under the dark sky of the new moon.

Saturday morning began with the aroma of coffee and a shared breakfast, setting the tone for a day of relaxation and connection.

After a morning devotion, which I led, the rest of the day unfolded in a joyful mix of swimming, games, heartfelt conversations, and well-earned naps.

Lunch was a feast of delicious wraps, and we were thankful that the local baboon troop graciously allowed us to enjoy our meal in peace!

As the sun dipped behind the mountains, we gathered for a delightful dinner of wood-fired pizza, before closing the evening with a devotional led by Felix Meylahn—offering us a moment of reflection and gratitude.

On Sunday, we set off early for Strand Street congregation, where we joined the congregation for the CCW church day.
