“On Saturday, 23 November the Men’s Ministry in Strand Street, celebrated International Men’s Day under the theme “What is Man according to God” and delved into deep conversations multifaceted role of fathers in the home , in church and society.

We also discussed the difficult conversation about dealing with the wounds left by absent fathers.

We were honored to have Heartlines who shared their impactful initiative, Fathers Matter. Their work highlights the reality that many South African children grow up without their biological fathers.

“Social fathers” — These positive male figures, be they uncles, grandfathers, teachers, coaches, religious leaders, or other safe and present men — step into the gap, helping to nurture, guide, and shape children.
