Introducing our students 2025

Hermann Düvel

– he has nearly completed the whole training (7 years) and is preparing to do the second theological exam in March 2025.

Hans-Christoph Lange

– after completing his studies in Stellenbosch he has been placed as an intern (Vikar) in the St. Martini Congregation in Cape Town.

Tristan Krüger

– after completing his studies in Stellenbosch was placed for a short time as an intern in the North Rand Congregation and then he was invited to complete the full internship program in Germany (Erfurt).

PJ Hanekom

– studied theology in Potchefstroom and then decided to join the Lutheran church and completed his MDiv in Stellenbosch and his first theological exam in 2024, after which he was placed as an intern in Durban.

Rutendo Gora

– has completed her Master of Divinity (2024) and is preparing for her first theological exam (March 2025) after which she will start with her internship

Bernhard Schiele

– is doing his fourth year of the Bachelor of Divinity degree here in Stellenbosch

Chundre Filippus

– has completed her second year of the BDiv in Stellenbosch and will be in her third year in 2025

Jeandre Rhodes

– a student from ELCSA has just completed his Bachelor of Theology Degree (2024) and is preparing to go to Germany to continue his studies there

Mia Peters

– joined us last year (2024) and did her first year BDiv – she will be entering her second year of studies for the BDiv course.

Pascal Pienaar

– a church historian (PhD) who has joined our Lutheran congregation in Bloemfontein and there came to the decision to become a Lutheran theologian and pastor. She is preparing for her first theological exam after which she will start with her internship.

Wikus Opperman

– studied theology in Potchefstroom and came to the decision to become a Lutheran theologian – he is taking 2025 as a year of preparation for the first theological exam in 2026
